Ladies and Gentlemen (and anything in-between) of Artec, I was assigned to write a “goodbye” for Artec news. Saying goodbye is one of the many things I really, really, would rather avoid. But, I like to do things that scare me, so! I’m gonna go ahead and give my little inspirational/motivational schpiel. (ßI could not figure out for the life of me how to spell that word.) Once upon a time, there was this girl, who didn’t know what the hell she was doing in life, and just derped around all day and got her ass sent to treatment. Then she decided she would continue derping around, just more sneaky. That landed her in treatment again. And the genius she is, she decided to get her act together. Then she gave up, again. And got sent to treatment: Take 3! And here she sits, in Artec, craving freedom. Ready to leave. Moral of the story: 1- Figure out what the hell you’re doing, and work for it. 2- Don’t do things to please, entertain, or hurt others, do things to feel better about yourself. 3- Learn from your mistakes, the first time. 4-Understand that “feelings” are not weak, despite popular belief. 5- Be. Grateful. For. Everything. 6- Prioritize your people and things. 7- Giving up helps absolutely nothing, don’t do it. So, anyways, I want to wish you all luck, and a very merry life. I hope ya’ll figure these shenanigans out, and do whatever it is you truly desire to do. --HanQnah :)
Dear Boys and Girls,
Well, I must say my time here at Artec has been awfully amazing. I have learned so many new things being here, I have made so many new friends and became close to so many new people. Being here at Artec has taught me to love myself for me and to only change for the better. Artec has taught me that I am worth so much more than I had ever thought I was before. Being here at Artec has opened the door to so many opportunities for so many things. I think that if it wasn’t for Nicole and Trevor I would have given up a long time ago. I have been here for six months and yes I’ve had my ups and downs, but who doesn’t right? My advice for everyone here is to do the best you can and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, and kill people with kindness. The more you feed into other peoples drama the harder it gets on your end, and it makes it feel like it takes forever and a day just to get through this program. Dear Boys and Girls of the Good Artec, I’m going to be telling you all about my favorite basketball team. My favorite basketball team would be the Boston Celtics. Yeah I know that a lot of you would disagree with me, but they are the best. They turned to be the best after Michael Jordan left the Chicago Bulls. The reason I like the Celtics is because they are good and they win a lot more than the Lakers! Also because they are just cool like that. The beat still keeps moving on.
it is a tracc that keeps going and skips on certain parts.
those skips are my mistakes.
it is always fixable in my eyes.
Because I was told as a youngster.
Through every dark night there will always be a brighter day after that.
In my eyes I see this as a motivation when I have a bad day, week, month, or yearafter that is all over when the problems are solved everything will brighten up and get a lot better everyone has a bad memory and past of something none of that can be erased, edited or forgottenit can only be accepted.
God can judge me like 2Pac says in a lot of his songs because no one else can judge you cuz no one knows you as well as you know yourself. By The best Anthony j J

I am hoping nothing bad will be said or done.
I am hoping the judge will let me off with a warning if something bad is said.
I am also planning on having a good visit with my caseworker on May 1.

Yesterday 3 bombs in Boston went off. They went off in 2, 2 at the finish line and 1 at the Boston public library. The Army, F.B.I. And police are at the scene.3 people were killed, and 170+ injured. So many people were shocked. I think the bombing is stupid, it needs to stop. by Justin

What I think about emo poetry is that kids should be allowed to express their feelings and how they feel about the world. Their poems are very different. They're expressing how they feel inside. When they can't take no more they write about it how love makes them feel. They don’t show any other emotions besides the ones they write on the sheet of paper. I love emo people. There are a lot of new changes going on here at Artec girls unit. We recently said goodbye to one of the girls here and we got another new girl. Her name is Lexi. Within
the next two weeks we will have almost a whole new group. Hanqnah, Riley, Suzi, Anna, & Sami will be leaving, so I want to tell them that I hope things will be good for them once they leave Artec and I want to wish them good luck!

Dear boys and girls of Artec,
I was asked to write a goodbye. I’m not exactly sure what to write. So I came here 12/12/12 and now I’m ready for my departure. I have been locked up for almost seven months now and it is my first time. I just turned 18 and over the past seven months I kind of got some sense knocked into me. I know now that I can’t just be roaming around my whole life couch surfing, having no job, and doing whatever drugs I can find. I need to get my crap together, so today I have an appointment to go take my first GED test, and tomorrow the second. When I leave I will be going to a foster home in Hurricane, UT. I will be starting CNA classes, I will be looking for a job, and shortly after I will be enrolled at Dixie State College to get my master’s degree in nursing. And so with all this help I have been receiving my time has come to start over again. AND green and purple are the two most awesome colors known to man! So good-bye and have a nice life. With that I will take another 24.

is about a brother and his sister. Kendra and her brother Nick go to their
Grandparent’s house. They are going there for summer vacation.
They have never met their grandparents. They drink this milk and then they start to see fairies.
I like this book because it’s a fun and magical story, because it has a lot of fantasy in it.
MarcFableHaven is epic. Good choice. CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS I think that they should not have seminary in school. The reason I think that is because it might make some people uncomfortable and not want to go to school. I also think that because if the teachers are teaching kids different religious views than what their parents believe it could cause problems. I also think it is good to have seminary in school so kids can learn what religious views they want to believe. I also think it is good for people who are not religious to see if they would like to go to the seminary school class so it could give them new point of views.
